How do I set up the UKG Ready integration?
Last updated: August 24, 2026
Connect your account to UKG Ready to push new hire data — demographics, pay info, compensation, direct deposit — straight from your onboarding workflow. This walks through connecting the integration, mapping your fields, and working a submission end to end.
What this integration does
The UKG Ready integration is a one-way export: it sends data from Onboarded into UKG Ready. It doesn't sync data back.
It works through a task field. You add a UKG Ready field to a task in your onboarding workflow, the same way you'd add any other field. When a candidate reaches that task, your team opens it, reviews the information Onboarded already has, fills in anything that's missing, and submits it to UKG Ready.
Fields fall into two groups on that screen:
From source — values Onboarded already knows, based on how you've mapped your fields (candidate data, a source task, a lookup against UKG Ready, or a constant).
Your inputs — anything you haven't mapped to a source. Your team fills these in by hand before submitting.
You'll see the result as a status on the task.
Before you start
You'll need account-level access to configure integrations, plus your UKG Ready Host, Company ID, Client ID, and Client Secret from UKG Ready. Decide your Rehire Mode and Direct Deposit Mode before connecting — see Good to know below for what's available today.
Connect your account
Go to Integrations, find
UKG Ready, and selectConfigure.Enter
Host— your UKG Ready tenant host, without the protocol or path (for example,secure7.saashr.com).Enter
Company ID.Enter
Client IDandClient Secret.Choose a
Rehire Mode:Off — never auto-rehireResolved — rehire an existing terminated matchOn duplicate — rehire when a create rejects as a duplicate
Choose a
Direct Deposit Mode. Self-service accounts can currently chooseAppend — always create, never replace, or leave itNot setto keep direct deposit disabled.Save.
Saving runs a live check against UKG Ready. If your credentials are wrong, you'll see a connection error and the configuration won't save — double check Host, Company ID, Client ID, and Client Secret.
You should see a Connected banner with today's date once it succeeds.
Map your fields
From the configuration panel, open Field configuration. This lists every field UKG Ready can accept, grouped into sections like Employee Info, Demographics, Pay Info, Compensation, Direct Deposits, and Accruals.
Select the edit icon on a field to set:
Enabled— whether this field is included at all.Required— whether a submission is blocked until this field has a value.Source—Onboarded fact,Source task,Lookup,Reference,Constant, orManual.Source path— where the value comes from, if the source needs one (for example,employee.username).Default value— used if the source doesn't resolve a value.
Fields with a lock icon are required by UKG Ready itself — they're always required and you can't turn them off.
A few fields have vendor rules the field configuration screen won't stop you from breaking. If you enable Default Job, you also need Job Change Reason and Payroll Classification enabled — otherwise the pay info step fails at submission. And with Direct Deposit Mode set to Append, a resubmitted task can create a duplicate deposit account, since UKG Ready has no reliable way to tell a retry apart from a new account — check the Reconciliation card before resubmitting a task that already reached the direct deposit step.
Submit an employee to UKG Ready
Open the task containing the
UKG Readyfield for that candidate.Review the values under From source, and fill in anything listed under Your inputs.
Select
Submit.
You should see the status change to Submitting…, then resolve to one of: Succeeded, Partial Success, or Failed.
If the status comes back
FailedorPartial Success, fix the fields called out on the task and selectRetry(if the employee record itself never got created) orResume(if the employee exists and only some sections still need to go through).
Partial Success is a normal outcome here, not a bug — UKG Ready writes happen in several separate steps, and one section can fail while others succeed. A task in Partial Success won't complete on its own. Fix and resubmit, or select Manually Resolved if you've corrected the record directly in UKG Ready — the task then completes on your next submit.
Verify
Once a submission reaches Succeeded, open the Reconciliation card on the task and refresh it to read the employee record back from UKG Ready side by side with what you submitted.
To check submissions across your whole account, go to Integrations → UKG Ready. It lists every submission with its Employee, Task, Status, and timestamps, and a View case button that jumps back to the task.
Good to know
Some pieces of this integration aren't available for self-service yet:
Submitting to UKG Ready is always a manual step from the task. There's no automatic trigger tied to placement completion.
