How do registration links with TempWorks candidates?
Last updated: October 1, 2026
Each TempWorks apply link is a single URL for your account. When a candidate opens it, Onboarded creates a new registration link for them and sends them to your registration form. Add job orders to the URL to apply the candidate to specific jobs. Add a branch to skip the branch picker.
Before you start
The TempWorks integration is connected on your account.
You know your Onboarded account ID (it starts with
acc_). Onboarded support can give it to you if you don't have it.Optional: you've picked a

How the apply link works
Every apply link has this shape:
https://app.onboarded.com/api/integrations/tempworks/actions/accounts/{account-id}/job_apply
The link itself never expires, and you can post it anywhere: the TempWorks job board, your website, an email, or a QR code. Each click creates a new registration link that's valid for 30 days, so candidates who come back later get a working link again.
You control what happens through two optional URL parameters:
Parameter | What it does | Example |
|---|---|---|
| One or more TempWorks job order IDs, separated by commas. The candidate gets a |

Job-specific: add
orderswith the job order IDs.General application: leave out
orders. The candidate gets aGeneral Applicationplacement that isn't tied to a job.
Decide how the branch is set.
If you add
branch, the candidate goes straight to the registration form.If you leave out
branchand the link has exactly one job order, Onboarded uses that job order's branch.Otherwise, the candidate first sees a

Build the URL. Add your parameters after a

Share the link with candidates, or post it on your job board.
After the candidate submits the registration form, Onboarded creates the employee and their placements and assigns the forms your policies require.
If your account has a custom subdomain
Onboarded can serve your candidate links from your own subdomain, such as acme.onboardedapp.com, in place of app.onboarded.com. You can't set the subdomain yourself. Email support@onboarded.com with the subdomain you want, and Onboarded support will set it up.
After the subdomain is live:
Links that Onboarded generates use the subdomain automatically. This includes the registration link a candidate gets after they open your apply link, and the links you copy from
Registration linksin the dashboard.Apply links that still use
app.onboarded.comkeep working. The candidate starts onapp.onboarded.comand moves to your subdomain when the registration form opens. If the candidate sees the branch picker, it appears onapp.onboarded.com.To show your subdomain from the first click, change the host in the link. Replace
app.onboarded.comwith your subdomain and leave the rest of the URL unchanged. The branch picker then appears on your subdomain as well.
For example, this link:
https://app.onboarded.com/api/integrations/tempworks/actions/accounts/acc_123/job_apply?orders=12345&branch=10
becomes:
https://acme.onboardedapp.com/api/integrations/tempworks/actions/accounts/acc_123/job_apply?orders=12345&branch=10
If TempWorks set up your job board apply link, ask your TempWorks contact to change the host.
⚠
Use the apply link for TempWorks candidates, not New Registration Link on the Employees page. Links from that button don't record a TempWorks branch, and TempWorks needs a branch to create the employee.
